Homemade Syrup

  • 1 Cup water
  • 1 Cup white sugar
  • 1 Cup brown sugar*
  • 1 T. maple or vanilla extract**

Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a soft boil. Let simmer for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Serve hot or warm. You can store in the fridge, just make sure to reheat before serving.

*If you’d like a thicker syrup, increase the brown sugar. You can use up to 2 cups brown sugar.

**If you use vanilla instead of maple, sprinkle about 1/2-1 teaspoon of cinnamon into your syrup.
