Oreo Cookie Dessert

  • 1 package Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 4 T. flour
  • 3 T. cocoa
  • dash of salt
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 1 square butter
  • 1/2 pint whipping cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Mix crushed cookies (save some for topping) with a little of the ice cream that’s been softened. Press into bottom of 9x13 pan to form crust. Using remaining ice cream, place over crust to fill pan.

Place flour, cocoa, butter, sugar, and salt in saucepan. Add enough evaporated milk to make a smooth liquid. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes, until thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Cool.

Pour cool sauce over ice cream. Top with whipped cream. Top with remaining cookie crumbs.
